I have been writing a book as of late...a long novel of sorts, which seems to be also expecting me to pound out a few sequels.

I haven't even gotten through the first chapter, to be perfectly honest.

The setting is pseudo-modern, east coast-ish United States.  I have a young man, scruffily attired; a thief, and a vampire, and he happens to have an iPod he stole off someone.  He's set this iPod to have a playlist of vampiric-themed music, to get him in the mood for  hunting and whatnot.

Er...what songs should I put on his playlist?  I've already got the prerequisite "Bela Lugosi's Dead".

Halp.

I Am Ghost is a band but I agree, anything by them (especially off their new album, Lovers Requiem) would be good for something like that. Also, this song is a little silly but it works, The Vampire Club by Voltaire might be appropriate if your character has a wry sense of humor (or any sense of humor at all). And maybe another good one which could get him in the mood for a good night of silent stalking, I would recommend Hey Man, Nice Shot by Filter. You may not agree, but it just has that sound.
